He is also the former executive producer/director/writer and host of the National Black Business Report public affairs program, which broadcast to some 14 million households via PBS and cable stations in the U.S. and Caribbean.  

 

In addition, Addison is an associate member of the Kentucky Broadcasters Association (KBA), Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), and has interviewed such notables as former U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young, Olympian Jesse Owens, Filmmaker / Author Gordon Parks, Sr., former 3-time Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali and many others.

 

His creative journey was inspired in large part by the words, pictures and inspiration of his mentor Gordon Parks.  Parks along with fellow legendary film pioneer Oscar Micheaux exemplify what it takes to be true renaissance men for the ages.  Their legacy continues to inspire Addison today as he works with a new generation of image makers.

George L. Addison, Jr. is the founder and CEO of BeeWork Films.  A broadcast and media professional with 20+ years of experience in television / cable programming / film and online content, he’s worked and developed programming for the following: PBS television / Corporation for Public Broadcasting – Independent Executive Producer, WMBM Radio – News Director, WINZ – CBS Radio -News Correspondent, WPLG – ABC/CNN television – News Reporter, NBC Radio -WVAG – News Anchor / Announcer.

 

Addison has coordinated media events for the Olympics and the National Football League (NFL), served as Public Affairs Specialist / Journalist for the Department of Defense and the Pentagon.
